Coloring

This week we have had fun practicing sight words by coloring them: I wrote ten different sight words in black marker on a piece of paper. Have your child picks out ten different color crayons.

I call out a color and a sight word for her to "color" (trace). For example: "Color they green" and she has to look at all of the words on the page and find the word they and trace it with the green crayon. Fun for her, easy for me

Cups

Using the letter discs you created, practice your sight words. Write each sight word on the bottom of a paper cup.

Put the letters to spell the word inside the cup

Have your child spell the sight word then self-correct by looking at the bottom of the cup.

Roll It, Read It, Write It

A great idea with a printable from here

The first printable is called Roll it. Read it. Write it. Roll the cube or dice and read the word. Write the word in one of the spaces…any one you want. Continue rolling and writing until all the spaces are full.
