Education Cube Sight Words

Using our Roll it Read it Write it sheets from here and our Education Cubes the girls practices their sight words today.


They rolled the education cube, read the word out loud and wrote it on their Roll It Read It Write It sheet once. Then rolled again, read it and wrote it. They kept rolling until they got each word 3 times.

We have some of these blocks at home. I do not use them for photos but for practicing a variety of concepts. Using the Education Cubes at website, I can print insert cards for the blocks. I have used them pretty often for a variety of concepts. We have used them to practice letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.

Now, we are using them for sight words.

play the teacher

Play the role of the parent and ask your child to test you. Be sure to misspell a few words so that "the teacher" can correct you!

Spelling Bee

Have you child say the sight word out loud and spell it in spelling bee style (can c-a-n can). Then ask her to spell it with her eyes closed. Use your flashcards for this activity.

Hide an Seek

Hide the big foam letters. Have your child find the letters needed to spell the sight words.
